PHOTOBOOTH

This project was an Interactive Photo Booth set up by Zeb Long, Anthony Metzler, Francisco Boden, Matt Roberts, and myself (David Plakon) at a house party in central Florida. It was constructed to promote and be used at Mirror Pal's CD Release Show on June 23rd, 2009.Then, it was actually put to the test at the main event. Here is a compilation of all the videos recorded at the CD Release show set to a track I composed, released on my debut production sampler "Commence."

Basically, the idea was the same as the house party, walk into the photobooth, enter your phone number, video begins recording, and finally a text message is sent confirming your video and telling you to watch for it on the big projectors. Thanks to Hogan Birney for this pic of the projection screens:

Users stepped into the booth and entered their phone number. Then, lights flashed like the booth was taking pictures but it was actually taking many more pictures to make a small movie file. As they exited the booth, they received a text telling them to watch their video outside the booth where a random collage of all the videos were being projected on the roof.

The project was very successful with over 250 users at a single house party.

The following is a compilation of all the videos recorded that night.

We set up the booth again on 9-28-09 at Rollins College for the X-Club fraternity:
